OK, so I can't ever get enough of these shots but I figure I'll make a devpack out of them so here's another one.

Last night I discovered a downtown photographer's best friend. The parking garage. Not only do they make great subjects at night, they also make excellent vantage points.

This is digital so again, film at 11... errr, well, in a few days anyway.

Stuff:
Canon S30, 8 seconds @ f/8, -2 stop exposure compensation, tripod and 2 second timer...

I'm kind of upset that this camera only goes to f/8, but oh well, it's a damn point and shoot.

Enjoy

You make this common parking garage look enchanting! I know you used a digital camera but for a moment I thought you used a star filter to get the lights to look like six pointed stars. The eye has a lot to explore from the "zig-zagging" stairwell to the square "windows", the lights within, the shadows cast from the building on the left side, to the intersection of the city streets. Shapes, lines, and lights combine to make this an appealing piece to look at.

Great shot. :) (Smile)
I think what I like about this has been said before at least twice, so I'll just smile. :) (Smile)
But you've reminded me of a few places to go shoot. Thanks you.
I love the sparkle of the lights, too. They came out perfectly. :) (Smile)

I've always found it interesting what color tones different temperature bulbs have.

I'm gonna have to play with the exposure settings on my camera. haven't really fiddled with 'em yet.

yay for night shots! :o (Eek)

Brilliant nightshot! Love the strong lighting, and flares from the lights. The only distraction is the car in the bottom, but the rest is quite nice.

Two thumbs up!

this is really incredible... this is surely the best long exposure night shot i've seen on here.. it's wonderful. i love that you managed to get a red, yellow and green light during your exposure, and a still car!
